Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description: The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, and direct Physical Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

            

Required Skills: Must possess, as a minimum, An Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited college or university. Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures etc., of the Physical Therapy service.

Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing therapy services.
     

Preferred Skills: General knowledge of geriatric treatments, discharge planning, Medicare billing and Medicare paperwork requirements. Good customer service and organizational skills. Have the ability to plan your own day and set your own schedule.
